Join with the neighborhood for this community event. There will be games and fun activities for the whole family. Local community organizations will be present. This is a free event for the neighborhood! Come on out!

School Supply Giveaway:

The registered child or youth must be present to receive the supplies. All supplies are given out on a "first come, first serve" basis.

Donations and Volunteers are WELCOME!

We are collecting donations for this event! Let’s work together for the children and families in our community!

Our goal: Supplying 100 children in our neighborhoods with school supplies for the 2023-2024 school year!

Two ways to donate:

1. Purchase the supplies for a completed backpack. The list of supplies needed are below.

• a. A backpack is completed if it contains all the items listed below. 
• b. Bring completed backpacks to the building the day of the event.

2. Donate money for the purchase of a completed backpack. The estimated cost of a completed backpack is $30.

• a. Make checks payable to: Miami First Church of the Brethren.
• b. Add “Backpack Donation 23-24” to the memo line. 
• c. Send your donation to P.O. Box 610311, Miami, FL 33261

School Supply List

• 1 backpack

• 4 folders or binders

• 2 notebooks or 2 composition books 

• 2 packs of loose leaf paper

• 1 pack of pens

• 1 pack of pencils

• 2 highlighters

• 1 jumbo eraser or pack of erasers 

• 1 box of crayons/colored pencils 

• 1 pencil pouch

• 1 pack of tissues

• 1 small bottle of hand sanitizer
